As the chosen genre of my creative production is a drama, the conventions which I have used must be specific to the genre and target audience. The themes which I have used in my film are love and divorce. As these are issues which are addressed to both young an older audiences, my intended target audience is going to be aged 12 and upwards as these are adults who have had direct or indirect experience with my themes and issues which are put forward in my film. The setting of my film is in a middle class suburban neighbourhood which may already have unintentionally targeted the specific class, I don't want this film to be class- specific but an average middleclass adult may believe that this certain film may appeal to them. This film is designed to target young adult couples because the theme of love is strong throughout and it sends a positive message across.
Many drama films have a similar structure, Pride and prejudice (2005) Deals with different relationships, from many different points of view of the different characters. my film will follow two characters at a maximum, as it is understandable and easier to establish the characters, and easier to shoot. I will produce a which will then come to a heart warming conclusion, a reoccurring theme in Hollywood movies.
